Mystery Tunic Button - Royal York Hotel

This was a mystery button that Frank Fluellon asked me about.

I have shown the mystery button on the left and a uniform button from the PPCLI on the right. No wonder Frank thought it was military..

Turns out that this button is a uniform button from the Royal York Hotel, opposite the Union Station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I attach an older poster showing the Royal York Hotel and more importantly, showing the logo that is on the button.

If you have the luck to stay at this grand hotel, you will also see the hotel's logo done in mosaic at the front entrance.
